The ideal candidate will possess strong intellectual horsepower, experience in investment banking, consulting, or VC, and the ability to work with spreadsheets, SQL, and Python. The role is based in London or New York and requires travel.

[Employer hidden] is going through a phase of post product-market fit where the GTM activities are finally starting to show results. At [Employer hidden], we have built the Cursor for Data - a truly AI-native alternative to dbt Cloud™. In the last 12 months, we’ve had a 91% win rate against dbt Cloud™. Startups to FTSE100 enterprises use [Employer hidden] daily today.
This is one of the most unique roles we have ever hired for at [Employer hidden] and we are looking for someone with raw intellectual horse power.
What will you do?
Anything that needs to be done. Really.
Education and work experience
This role would be ideal if you:
- Have a degree from a top university, even better if you were top of your class.
- Have worked in investment banking, or consulting or VC or investment adjacent roles i.e. good with spreadsheets and decks
- Have worked in one or more Series A+ startups i.e. good with taking decisions and working hard
- Can work through spreadsheet, SQL, and Python depending on the problem i.e. get stuff done with data
- Can organize yourself and be 80:20 in your approach i.e. don’t waste time and can maintain high signal-to-noise
- Have taste and good judgement i.e. can represent [Employer hidden] without the founders
This role is based only in London or New York and will require some travel.

You need to be comfortable with hard questions because we believe that we only become better by raising the bar for ourselves - so sweating the hard stuff is important. You need to show up prepared and become an expert in your domain.
[Employer hidden] is a startup. As a result we would not be good fit, if you are looking for work-life balance. It’s not that we except you to work crazy (996) schedules every day, but this is not 9-5 either. There will be bad days where you will have to dig deep and its a normal part of being in a startup.
You will get a lot of autonomy, and you will learn a lot and fast - but that only happens if you enjoy what you are doing and give it your best shot. Otherwise, you will very quickly fall behind. The worst is if the founders are doing things that you are supposed to do.
