FULL DESCRIPTION

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Carry out PPM on all types of heavy commercial and industrial refrigeration systems utilising all types of refrigerants – ammonia, F-Gas (HFC and HFO), carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons.

· Reactive service including fault-finding mechanical, electrical and control systems, including performing emergency standby rota duties.

· Compressor repairs and overhauls.

· Leak testing.

· Pressure testing.

· Refrigerant recovery and charging.

· Ability to operate on own initiative and as part of a team to effect attainment of agreed targets and objectives

· Ability to develop a good understanding of our customers business requirements and operations

· Proactive approach to all tasks undertaken – a ‘can-do’ attitude

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Good Working knowledge of Microsoft software including Excel and Word

· Completion of all relevant documentation to a high standard.

· General plant room and equipment housekeeping duties.

Experience and Qualifications

· Ideally completed a formal apprenticeship in Refrigeration.

· CITB Safety Passport.

· City & Guilds 2078 / 2079 F-Gas Refrigerant Handling / CITB Ammonia Handling Certificate / A3 Refrigerant Handling / CO2 Refrigerant Handling

· City & Guilds 207 - Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.

· NVQ1, 2 & 3 - Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.

· Pressure Testing Competency.

· Specific Compressor Manufacturers Training Courses.

· Controls and Strategy experience
