An opportunity has arisen for a Fire & Security Engineer’s Assistant (mate) to support and assist our qualified engineers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is seeking to expand on their current skills and develop their knowledge to gain insightful experience within the Fire and Security industry.

#### Requirements of the Fire & Security Engineer’s Assistant will be varied, but are not limited to the following:

  • Trunking, containment, cabling, installation and external lighting – 1st and 2nd fix installations -Working on various sites including and not excluding schools, Hotels, Apartment complex and Industrial worksites
  • Previous experience of 2 years as a Fire & Security Engineer’s Assistant or Electrician’s mate within a commercial and domestic environment
  • A valid CSCS, ECS card and IPAF is desirable
  • A recognised Electrical Apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent) is desirable
  • Must be confident and able to assist in testing, inspection and partial rewire work
  • Able to provide examples and references to showcase relevant work history
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in both verbal and written English
  • Positive and friendly attitude
  • Applicants must have a flexible approach to variable working hours and weekend working
  • Preferably have your own tools and a full clean drivers licence would be beneficial but not essential
