FULL DESCRIPTION

Production Technician

We are recruiting for a Production Technician to work with a Cambridgeshire-based, cutting edge, leading product development company whose innovative technology is reshaping the medical, life science, environmental and industrial sectors. As the Production Technician, you will be responsible for assembly and testing of parts and components which are incorporated in a range of scientific products/instrumentation.

Production Technician`s responsibilities:

  • Assembly and testing components, prototypes, and parts within R&D department.
  • Working on the range of production processes including laser welding and laser machining, recording product details, monitoring line performance using high precision automated equipment (full relevant training will be provided).
  • Preventative maintenance on the equipment to ensure a safe, clean and organised environment and packing/shipping products to customers (training will be provided)
  • You will be working in close collaboration with the Quality team.

Production Technician`s Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a production or Lab environment.
  • Good practical and technical skills. assembly and
  • Good mechanical and testing background with experience in working with and achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and principles and ability to follow documented processes.
  • Ability to work methodically and precisely, and manage a varied workload in an efficient manner.
  • Work well as part of a team, as well as have initiative and be able to take responsibility.
  • Computer literate (MS Office).
  • Good communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in working with automated and high precision machinery.
  • Ability to use microscopes, callipers, balances and other measurement equipment.
  • Ability to generate production paperwork.
  • Experience in working within a quality-controlled environment.
