A brand-new opportunity has arisen for an experienced HSE Advisor to join a well-established engineering R&D company based in Bedfordshire. The company is focussing on developing brand-new disruptive technology to help revolutionise high precision engineering industries such as Aerospace, Space, Defence, Automotive and more!

As a SHE Advisor, reporting to the SHE Manager, you will be responsible for providing competent and professional safety, health & environmental (SHE) advice and support in a wide range of activities and projects – truly making an enormous impact to this growing organisation whilst supporting the development of the HSE Management system.

You will play an integral role in the delivery of the Safety, Health & Environment vision within the entire business; being visible across all areas of the company being an advocate providing advice and guidance to all employees, be it risk assessments, audits, policy and procedures adherence etc whilst providing recommendations for their mitigation.

The SHE Advisors will need the following skills and experience:

  • NEBOSH General certificate or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Environmental certificate or equivalent.
  • Recent and relevant experience within a similar role and industry on an industrial site.
  • Have a comprehensive and technical understanding of SHE management standards and practices, and relevant HSE regulatory knowledge.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of SHE internal and external best practice and be able to use that knowledge in order to improve operational standards.
  • Be a trained SHE auditor.
  • Use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
