FULL DESCRIPTION

Join Maesbrook Care Home as an Activity Co-ordinator on the day shift. You will provide compassionate, person-centred care, support residents with daily stimulating activities, and work as part of a friendly team. Starting pay is £12.60 per hour, plus paid training, with full-time and part-time opportunities available.

The Role

Join us as an Activity Co-ordinator on our day shift. You’ll:

  • Provide compassionate, person-centred care under the guidance of our qualified nursing and fellow Activity Co-ordinators.
  • Support residents with daily stimulating activities, companionship and maintaining their dignity.
  • Learn to use our modern electronic care records (picture‐based system) and benefit from structured training & mentorship.
  • Work as part of a friendly team, making a real difference to residents’ day-to-day lives.

What we offer

  • Starting pay of £12.60 per hour, plus paid training from day one.
  • Flexible permanence: full-time 36 hours or part-time opportunities available.

Shifts: Day shift: 09:45 - 16:00

  • Fixed 2-week pattern with alternate weekends (no split shifts).

What we’re looking for

  • You’re kind, reliable, and passionate about helping older people.
  • Previous care home experience is essential with engaging residents who experience severe cognitive impairment who may present with challenging behaviour.
  • Good attention to detail, ability to work as part of a team, and a flexible approach to shift work.
