FULL DESCRIPTION
Audio Systems Engineer - Cambridgeshire. Salary: £50k - £80k + Excellent Benefits and bonus.
Responsibilities of Audio Systems Engineer:
- Work with the specialists within the audio team to define the required architecture to meet the audio requirements for a given product.
- Drive component selection of speakers, microphones, amplifiers and other key components.
- Generate specifications
- Integrate microphones and speakers within the given design through collaborating with the cross functional product team.
- Validate all aspects of the audio design though hands-on measurements.
- Support factory builds to ensure audio quality is being met and solve issues in real time to enable successful builds.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (software, hardware integration, user interaction).
Requirements of Audio Systems Engineer:
- Degree educated in Acoustics, Electronics, Audio Engineer, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of how end-to-end audio systems work including microphones, audio ICs, acoustics, embedded DSPs, transducers, etc.
- Recent and relevant experience working as a Systems Engineer within the Audio market.
- Hands-on experience with audio hardware testing.
- Experience with tools such as ACQUA, Soundcheck and B&K equipment audio and acoustic test systems to analyze real-time audio DSP algorithms.
- Experience working with Android products, Android framework and adb is desirable.
- Experience programing in Matlab, Python and C. Scripting in Linux is a plus.
- Excellent documentation and demonstrated communication skills.
- Experience working across disciplines to drive optimal solutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Learning attitude with keen attention to detail.
