You will join a dynamic and supportive development team responsible for activities within R&D and Manufacturing departments. Responsibilities of the Power Electronics Engineer:
- Design and development of electrical components for high-power systems (Power supplies, DCDC converters, inverters, etc)
- Researching, devising and recommending solutions to technical problems
- Testing and development support along with ensuring all relevant electrical safety standards and electromagnetic compatibility regulations are met
- Generation of necessary documentation, including Wiring Diagrams and build instructions.
Requirements of Power Electronics Engineer:
- A degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Broad knowledge of analogue and digital electronics
- Recent and relevant experience in the development of high voltage components such as switch-mode power supplies, DCDC converters, inverters, etc.
- Electrical component design and use of CAD software for wiring diagram generation
- Outstanding communications skills and confidence to present to internal and external stakeholders.
Salary: circa £50k - £60k
