The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to work alongside our Home Manager, providing day-to-day clinical leadership and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
You’ll lead by example, supporting and mentoring nurses and care staff, promoting excellence in clinical practice, and helping maintain our outstanding care standards.
Key responsibilities include:

- Overseeing care planning, medication management, and compliance documentation.
- Conducting clinical audits, investigations, and care reviews.
- Coaching and supporting nurses, senior carers, and new team members.
- Occasionally covering night shifts during staff absence or holidays to maintain consistency and reduce agency use.
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, and professionals.
What We Offer

- 36 hours per week (typically 12-hour day shifts, with flexibility as required).
- Shift times:
- Days: 07:45 – 20:00
- Nights (occasional cover): 19:45 – 08:00
- Supportive, well-staffed environment with a focus on teamwork and resident well-being.
- Free on-site parking & company pension scheme.
- Genuine opportunities for career progression — we invest in your development.
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN.
- Proven experience in a senior or supervisory nursing role within a care home.
- Strong clinical and leadership skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident with audits, report writing, and Microsoft Word/Excel.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care.
