Project Manager - Aerodynamics

A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Technical Project Manager to join a well-established engineering R&D company based in Bedfordshire. The company is focussing on developing brand-new disruptive technology to help revolutionise high precision engineering industries such as Aerospace, Space, Defence, Automotive and more! We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with commercial acumen and excellent problem-solving capabilities to lead the successful delivery of projects in close co-operation with the project team. You will be the go-to-contact for all stakeholders of simultaneous projects – both internal and external clients alike. This would suit an experienced Project Manager with technical skills and experience managing complex engineering projects – these can include practical, analytical, modelling and optimisation related problems to solve. You will play an integral part in the development of world leading capabilities that emerge from the challenges posed by our customers at the cutting edge of aerodynamic research! Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate will need to satisfy security clearance requirements – British passport including continual UK residency for the last 5 years.

The Project Manager will preferably have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree level education within an engineering discipline – preferably Mechanically focussed e.g. aerospace, automotive, aerodynamics etc.
  • Project management qualification and experience of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Recent and relevant experience within a technical project management role
  • Customer facing experience within a project manager role – requirement gathering, regular progress updates etc.
  • Strong commercial acumen to assign the relevant resources to complete projects on budget and within demanding deadlines.
  • Strong communications skills using spoken and written English.
