A brand-new opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Document Controller to join a well-established engineering R&D company based in Bedfordshire. The company is focussing on developing brand-new disruptive technology to help revolutionise high precision engineering industries such as Aerospace, Space, Defence, Automotive and more!

The Engineering Document Controller role is to support the Engineering and Infrastructure Department with the implementation, delivery and maintenance of document management databases, including Sharepoint. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining processes for the collation, cataloguing, upkeep and retrieval of company engineering information in a variety of forms and from a variety of sources.

This will suit an experienced Engineering Administrator / Engineering Document controller with a technical engineering background with experience of working within an engineering or manufacturing environment – updating all documentation to the correct standards and to ensure all legacy documents are catalogued correctly within Share Point.

The Document Controller will need the following skills and experience:

  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience of maintaining a document management database or similar.
  • Recent and relevant experience within an Engineering Document Control / Quality Admin related role.
  • Experience of Sharepoint.
  • Familiarity with document management within a quality management system in an engineering company.
  • Organised and accurate with attention to detail.
  • An effective communicator.
  • Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Driven by a strong work ethic.
  • Able to multi-task.
  • Confident and articulate
