MediServices delivers high-quality intraoperative neuromonitoring services across NHS and private hospitals in the UK. As our service continues to grow, we’re recruiting a fully trained IONM Physiologist to join our established national clinical team.

Main Job Duties

### Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Role

You will deliver expert neurophysiological monitoring during complex orthopaedic and neurosurgical cases (including complex spinal (adult and paediatric), awake/sleep craniotomies and cranial nerve and brainstem monitoring). This is a front-line clinical role where your experience directly contributes to safer surgery and improved patient outcomes. The position is full-time, permanent, and involves travel to partner hospitals across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive IONM services for orthopaedic spinal and neurosurgical cases.
  • Independently acquire, interpret, and communicate neurophysiological data in real time
  • Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre teams to support intraoperative decision-making
  • Maintain high standards of clinical documentation, audit, and quality assurance
  • Participate in continuous improvement, governance, and CPD activity
  • Represent MediServices professionally within both NHS and private hospital environments

Person Specification

### Person Specification

Essential

  • Fully trained IONM Physiologist with proven competency in the above cases
  • Strong clinical judgement and confidence working independently in theatre
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel to partner hospitals across the UK

Desirable

  • RCCP or HCPC registration (or eligibility)
  • Experience delivering IONM in both NHS and private sectors
  • Access to a personal car for travel – and full UK drivers license
