FULL DESCRIPTION
The Year 1 class Teacher will guide students in the principles of Islam, covering topics such as Fiqh, Sīrah, Ahadīth, ‘Aqā’id, Tārīkh, with a primary focus on learning to read the Arabic alphabet with tajweed. Children will also be taught general manners and simple duas. The role involves creating a fun and inspiring learning environment that nurtures spiritual growth, and creates a deep, lifelong connection to their faith.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Qa’idah with Tajweed
- Plan & teach Islamic studies class based on our textbook ‘Safar Islamic Studies Book 1’
- Attend trainings & CPD sessions during class time and on the weekend (paid).
Qualifications and Requirements
- ✅ English speaking (UK born preferably)
- ✅ Fluent in Tajweed and with good grasp of Makhārij (pronunciation)
- ✅ Excellent class control and time management
- ✅ Knows foundational rulings and has basic understanding of Hanafi Fiqh
- ✅ Tech Proficiency: Competence with using educational technology
Desirable/Preferred Qualifications
- • Qualified ‘Alim/ ‘Alimah
- • Qualified Hafidth / Hāfidthah
- • Previous teaching experience. Experience is not a must as training will be given, however any experience is welcome.
- • Knowledge of teaching methodology
