Teacher of KS2/ KS3 Qur’ān & Islamic Studies

Part time (Paid)

Salary: £12.50/h (+ Fuel costs for applicants outside Wycombe)

Role Summary

The Qur'ān and Islamic Studies Teacher will guide students in the principles of Islam, covering topics such as Fiqh, Sīrah, Ahadīth, ‘Aqā’id, Tārīkh, with a primary focus on Qur'ān recitation with tajweed. The role involves creating a respectful and inspiring learning environment that nurtures spiritual growth. Additionally, the teacher will help children memorise duas and surahs, fostering a deep, lifelong connection to their faith.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Qur’ān / Qa’idah to students with Tajweed
  • Plan & teach Islamic studies class
  • Attend trainings & CPD sessions during class time and on the weekend (paid).

Qualifications and Requirements

  • ✅ English speaking (UK born preferably)
  • ✅ Fluent in Tajweed and with good grasp of Makhārij (CPD training provided)
  • ✅ Excellent class control and time management
  • ✅ Knows foundational rulings and understanding of Hanafi Fiqh
  • ✅ Tech Proficiency: Competence with using educational technology

Desirable/Preferred Qualifications

  • • Qualified ‘Alim/ ‘Alimah
  • • Qualified Hafidth / Hāfidthah
  • • Previous teaching experience. Experience is not a must as training will be given, however any experience is welcome.
  • • Knowledge of teaching methodology
