FULL DESCRIPTION
Bank (0 hour) Chef - Northbrooke House
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a dedicated Chef to support the Head Chef in preparing nutritious and appealing meals for residents in our care home. The ideal candidate will have experience in a kitchen environment, a passion for cooking, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and serving meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food storage areas.
- Follow food hygiene and safety regulations at all times.
- Support with stock control, deliveries, and menu planning as needed.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and care staff to ensure residents’ dietary needs are met.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a catering or kitchen role preferred.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Compassionate approach with an understanding of elderly care needs.
Salary and Benefits
- 0 hour contract - pick & choose your shifts
- Monday - Friday £12.80 & weekend £14.08 + overtime is paid at £1.00 extra per hour
- Attendance bonus + 50p per hour if all shifts are attended each month - T&C's apply
