Become Our Health, Safety and Environmental Officer

The Role

A position has become vacant within the Operations Department at [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Ltd for someone to ensure that the company satisfies its legal obligations with respect to the Environment Agency and the Health and Safety Executive. [Employer hidden] are a polyurethane systems house and operate a lower tier COMAH site with Authorisation from the Environment Agency.

Main Duties

• To ensure that all the requirements of the Environment Agency within the Environmental Permit (IPPC) are monitored and fulfilled at all times.
• To carry out and administrate safety and environmental audits.
• To co-ordinate with outside resources with regard to environmental and safety issues.
• Ensure all necessary Risk Assessments (e.g. COSHH, Occupational Health and Statutory Inspections) are completed and on time.
• To be first point of contact for the enforcement authorities.
• To ensure that ALL company personnel are trained in all Health, Safety and Environmental issues in their roles within the company.

The Ideal Candidate

minimum of 5 years experience within a chemical company. Have an IOSH / NEBOSH qualification and must be able to demonstrate good knowledge and experience in current Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and legislation.
