Responsibilities
- Managing and developing our existing customer base.
- Providing technical support and application advice to all customers.
- Proactively identifying and closing opportunities for new products and markets.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have to be sales minded with a strong worth ethic as they will a large amount of autonomy in the role. You’ll be responsible for planning and setting a sales strategy for the territory on how to grow existing business as well as how to identify and win new business. You will be expected to provide weekly visit reports as well as more detailed report at monthly sales meetings.
Every day is different, and as such you’ll need to be able to demonstrate a good understanding of all products across a range of applications as your customer base will be spread across several sectors. You will have the support of technical department and will be expected to be able to liaise between them and the customer if required. Excellent customer service is a must as you will be expected to leave the customer a positive experience of [Employer hidden] wanting to ensure their needs have been met.
Applications are sought from candidates with at least 2 years field-based sales experience ideally selling speciality, construction and/or performance chemicals. The position would suit a degree level chemist or equivalent, however this is not essential. They must have good communication and organisational skills and a full clean driving license.
