Job Description
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Technical Specialist (OT Cyber & Power) is the subject matter expert across the ITS business for OT Cyber and Power, and will help drive forward growth in these areas.
Working closely with operational and sales teams in delivery and pre-sales, the role will guide and develop the solutions that ITS provide. As part of the role, the Technical Specialist will develop a team of engineers to deliver complex solutions in the areas of both OT Cyber and Power, with key skills in certifications such as IEC 62443 and IEC 61850.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Technical Leadership
- Act as the technical lead for cyber security across all of ITS and support engineering teams and customers with subject matter expertise
- Act as the technical lead for Transmission and Distribution related work supporting operational delivery with emphasis on high-voltage capability
- Lead technical definition, design, and implementation of secure systems
- Ensure compliance with standards and best practice
- Support FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, and fault-finding
- Provide technical assurance and reviews
- Build and develop a team of engineers to deliver power sector projects
Pre-Sales, Bids & Tendering
- Support pre-sales and solution development
- Prepare tenders, proposals, and cost estimates
- Assist customer engagement during bid phases
Collaboration & Mentoring
- Mentor engineers and support skills development
- Provide technical consultancy to colleagues and customers
- Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence
Additional Info
Skills & Experience
- Full project lifecycle experience
- OT cyber security expertise
- HV systems experience
- Technical documentation skills
- Degree or HND/HNC in a relevant discipline
- Eligible for security clearance
Desirable Skills
- IEC 62443 / IEC 61850 / ISO 27001 knowledge
- Industrial networking and firewalls
- PLC/SCADA/DCS experience
