FULL DESCRIPTION

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Limited is seeking an experienced Agricultural / Plant Mechanic to maintain a large fleet of plant and equipment. Responsibilities include repairs, maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and assisting apprentices. The role requires good organizational and communication skills, with occasional travel. Key Skills Required:

Experienced in the repair and maintenance of heavy plant and construction equipment
Willing to respond to emergency breakdowns, travel and make on site repairs
Good organisational skills, conscientious and a willingness to meet deadlines
Good communications skills
Confident to deal with company personnel, customers and suppliers
Full driving licence required

Principal Responsibilities:

To work with the workshop team to maintain a large fleet of plant and equipment to a professional standard
To carry out regular servicing on all types of plant and equipment
To carry out welding and fabrication tasks when required
To respond to breakdowns promptly and efficiently to aid the smooth running of our site operations
To assist and train apprentice personnel
To provide the servicing information required promptly and accurately for the workshop administrator to maintain accurate service records
When necessary, travel to company projects to make on site repairs. This may require occasional and or periodic nights away from home
To ensure that the workshops and yard areas are maintained in a safe and tidy condition, wash equipment and load and unload plant
To report defects, avoidable or warranty repairs to the Workshop Manager
To carry out tasks in a safe and conscientious manner
You would be required to be flexible and carry out any duties which are reasonably considered to be within your capabilities
