Azure Data Engineer - Financial Services

About the Role

Our client, a Private Equity company, is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join their team to aid their current data-warehouse migration from on-premises to Azure cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the team to aid in the migration of the current on-premises data warehouse to Azure Cloud
• Design and develop data pipelines using Azure data-warehouse, data-bricks, and data-lake
• Write advanced SQL queries to extract and transform data
• Work with the team to troubleshoot and resolve any data-related issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and develop data solutions that meet business requirements
• Develop and maintain data models and schemas
• Ensure that data solutions adhere to data governance and security standards
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong experience with Azure data-warehouse, data-bricks, and data-lake
• Advanced SQL skills
• Experience with migration from on-premises data warehouse to Azure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good working knowledge of Python and Pyspark
• Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus
