NCL is excited to partner with a London-based consultancy that is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join their Data team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who wants to work with a global consultancy firm, develop and own application interfaces between many critical business systems using ETL tools.
About the Role
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
As a Data Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside very experienced consultants, which allows you to upskill while working with the latest technology, frameworks, and innovative products. You will be responsible for developing and owning application interfaces using ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory to improve data quality and internal efficiency. You will also be expected to work within a Microsoft environment, along with having experience within Data Factory and Synapse. In-depth knowledge of Data Strategies, Data Models, and ETL Designs & Development is a must, as well as proven experience in Architecture, Dimensional Modelling, and semantic models. Additionally, you should have proven experience within Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL. Experience in building and managing across several BI platforms, for example, Power BI, is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and own application interfaces between critical business systems using ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory
- Improve data quality and internal efficiency
- Work within a Microsoft environment, including Data Factory and Synapse
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Data Strategies, Data Models, and ETL Designs & Development
- Have proven experience in Architecture, Dimensional Modelling, and semantic models
- Have proven experience in Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL
- Build and manage several BI platforms for Power BI and other platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in a data engineering role
- Proven experience in developing and owning application interfaces using ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory
- In-depth knowledge of Data Strategies, Data Models, and ETL Designs & Development
- Proven experience in Architecture, Dimensional Modelling, and semantic models
- Proven experience in Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in building and managing several BI platforms, for example, Power BI, is an added advantage.
