Azure Data Engineer

About the Role

Job Overview:

Our client, a software provider in the global Logistics industry, is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will work on building the first digital logistics platform for the industry, which aims to increase efficiency and control by digitizing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for structured and semi-structured data sources.
• Design, develop and maintain data models, data warehouses and data marts.
• Work with business analysts and end-users to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Create and maintain documentation for all data processes and procedures.
• Design and author reports and dashboards in Power BI and SSRS.
• Utilize Azure DevOps and Git source control for code management.
• Ensure the compliance of the data architecture with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members in software development life cycle (SDLC) activities, including code reviews, testing and deployment.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in data engineering and cloud technology.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2012-2019/Azure SQL DB.
• Good exposure to Power BI & SSRS.
• Good Exposure to Azure DevOps & GIT Source Control.
• Experience with designing and authoring dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC), CI/CD and source control.
• Experience with structured and semi-structured data source and processing.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals.
