Project Surveyor

Type: Part Time Temporary

Location: Croydon

Salary: £28 - £37 per hour

My client is seeking a Project Surveyor. This is a part-time, temporary position based in Croydon. The purpose of the role is to ­ensure contracts and works are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner to agreed quality standards, value for money, statutory and regulatory legislation, health & safety compliance, ensuring high levels of customer and client satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure the provision of an efficient asset management service for a specified area to our managed homes.
  • Ensure efficient asset management for managed homes in a specified area.
  • Manage and supervise staff to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Conduct property surveys, prepare specifications, and schedule works for tender.
  • Ensure maintenance activities adhere to organisational standards and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain communication and consultation with residents throughout projects.
  • Manage complaints and provide written responses as required.
  • Ensure properties and communal areas are safe and compliant with health and safety legislation.
  • Maintain accurate records of job progress and variations.
  • Use software such as Orchard, APEX, and CRM for record-keeping and updates.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project surveying or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of asset management, maintenance, and health and safety compliance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in property surveys and preparing works specifications.
  • Experience with project management tools and systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
