Accounts Senior

As an Accounts Senior, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality compliance work to clients, working under the guidance of Client and Assistant Managers. You’ll prepare statutory accounts, VAT returns, and management reports, while also building experience in client communication and problem-solving. This is a growth-focused role that suits someone who is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems, building client relationships and ready to take increasing ownership.

The responsibilities

Client delivery

  • Prepare statutory accounts, VAT returns, and all other tasks to a high standard
  • Support the Assistant Client Manager and Client Manager in managing timelines and submissions for client portfolios
  • Respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner, escalating more complex matters appropriately
  • Begin to contribute to client meetings or calls, shadowing and learning from more senior team members
  • Use the 1-3-1 framework when dealing with queries you are not familiar with – this puts ownership and responsibility for learning & coming up with solutions in your control

Team support and collaboration

  • Work as part of a delivery team, helping to meet deadlines and balance workloads
  • Attend weekly Knowledge Sharing sessions to learn and contribute
  • Be proactive in supporting other team members, sharing what you have learned, and stepping up where you can
  • Help maintain accurate records, systems and documentation for your assigned work

  • Take 100% responsibility for personal development – researching, asking questions, finding training programs, etc. as necessary to fill any knowledge gaps
