Full job description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a care home ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily activities, fostering a supportive environment for those in your care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support residents in daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, and mobility assistance.
  • Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each residents needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress and communicate any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Foster a positive and respectful relationship with residents, ensuring their dignity is upheld at all times.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with residents families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is not essential.
  • Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
