Service and Call-Out Lift Engineer

About the role:

As a Lift Service Engineer, working with our clients, the primary objective is to REDUCE the number of breakdowns. With the use of internal software to monitor data trends and identify Root Cause. Use of technology will be used to resolve lift issues remotely. Secondly, conduct regular routine maintenance on commercial/residential lifts to a pre-planned schedule. With the use of same internal software to engage with the customer in proactively maintenance and forward planning. Also attend call outs and breakdowns and make small repairs to lifts as directed. Additionally, investigate reports highlighting lifts that are out of order or have recurring breakdowns, taking remedial action.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilise ILM Data Soft to preempt from ILM Software to prevent lift breakdowns and callouts. review lift data prior and during visit/s
  • Carry out regular routine maintenance on commercial and residential lifts
  • Carry out lift Servicing
  • Respond to breakdowns / callouts during regular hours and Out-of-Hours
  • On call required every 1-3
  • Keep the Office up to date with information / data necessary to fulfil role
  • Carry out customer site visits as directed and in accordance with the workload
  • Procurement of materials
  • Involvement in site surveys
  • Measuring site performance.

Essential Requirements:

  • At least 3 years experienced as Lift Service Engineer or 4 years’ time-served within the lift industry, with desire to change to servicing.
  • Aspiration to develop role as Lift Engineer, making use of lift data trends.
  • Desire to engage with client, to improve customer experience and build trust.
  • Experience of working within the lift industry, taking ownership of a service route
  • Keen knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • NVQ level 3 Lift Servicing & Repair, LEIA modules or equivalent desirable/working towards.
  • Working knowledge of current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations would also be desirable
