JOB TITLE - Lecturers (various disciplines)

Vacancies exist for lecturing positions in Education, Science & Technology, Health and Social Care, Professional & Vocational Studies, Management & Leadership, Information Technology, Accounting & Finance, Language & Communication.

JOB DESCRIPTION

- Planning, teaching, including lectures, seminars/tutorials and learning materials - Deploy appropriate learning, teaching, support and assessment methods. - Select appropriate assessment instruments and criteria, assess the work and progress of students by reference to the criteria and provide constructive feedback to students. - Ensure that module design and delivery comply with quality standards and regulations of the College - Select appropriate assessment instruments and criteria to assess the work and progress of students. - Conduct individual research or work on collaborative research projects. - To coordinate others (such as support staff or academic colleagues) to ensure student needs and expectations are met - Mentor junior colleagues  and provide counsel on personal development - Be responsible for administrative duties in areas such as admissions, timetabling, examinations, assessment of progress and student attendance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ideal candidate must be an Associate Professor/ PhD with a minimum of five years teaching and research experience in a HEI.

Applicants with Masters degree and at least seven years of teaching and research showing preparedness to study for a PhD are also eligible to apply.

Successful candidates will be required to hold teaching qualification (FHEA/HEA) in the United Kingdom

Other skills required include:

  • Ability to demonstrate expertise gained from leading-edge practice.
  • Experience in teaching, curriculum development and quality management and enhancement in a Higher Education environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex and conceptual ideas to a range of groups
