Job vacancy - Supplier Quality Engineer

This Supplier Quality Engineer role focuses on managing and improving supplier quality performance across the supply chain. The position leads supplier audits, evaluations and corrective actions, while working closely with engineering, manufacturing and procurement to resolve quality issues and support new product introductions. It involves analysing supplier data, driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with quality systems and industry standards. The role suits someone with solid supplier or manufacturing quality experience who is comfortable influencing suppliers and working cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier quality activities including evaluation, audits, selection support and performance monitoring.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions using root cause analysis and continuous improvement tools.
  • Analyse supplier quality data, identify trends and mitigate quality risks.
  • Support New Product Introductions to ensure supplier readiness and compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve supplier-related quality issues.
  • Maintain compliance with quality standards and internal systems (e.g. ISO).
  • Prepare supplier quality performance reports for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Mentor others and promote best practices considered best practice within supplier quality.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, tools and methodologies (e.g. root cause analysis, audits).
  • Experience supporting NPI and working with suppliers on corrective actions.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
  • Engineering degree and quality certifications (e.g. CQE, Six Sigma) are advantageous.
