Our client is a leading Private Equity fund with a global presence. On behalf of their Technology Team, we are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys owning end-to-end reporting solutions and working closely with business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, actionable insights.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Use Excel as a primary data source, ensuring stable connections, refresh schedules, and data accuracy
  • Build, enhance, and optimise data models following best-practice principles
  • Integrate Power BI with Microsoft 365 tools including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and APIs
  • Take ownership of existing Power BI reports, datasets, and models, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into clear, user-friendly reporting solutions
  • Apply best practices for governance, performance optimisation, and documentation

Required Experience

  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer delivering production-grade dashboards
  • Strong understanding of data modelling and Power BI performance optimisation
  • Confident stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills
  • Experience working within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem

Nice to Have

  • Background in private equity or financial services
  • SQL and Azure SQL data warehouse experience
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and AI-assisted reporting tools
