Façade Engineer

About the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Façade Engineer to work for a multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering high-quality services and offering a range of specialised services across a wealth of sectors.

You will be working on a variety of exclusive projects with high-end residential developers, historical museums, luxurious heritage, modern education, and student accommodation buildings.

You will also have the opportunity, if this is of interest, to start developing and working on Fire Engineering disciplines and solutions, etc.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a building, an engineering-related discipline or a relevant professional membership. They will also need to know relevant Building Regulations and statutory limitations, as they relate to fire safety-related matters and good construction practice.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Collating site investigation data to inform the Façade process and other related assessments, including Building Regulations compliance reviews
• Determining the nature, configuration, and material composition of external wall systems
• Advising on matters of compliance and the risks associated with the external wall systems
• Inspection/monitoring of construction works to ensure compliance
• Undertaking of technical and quality assurance audits, RFIs, due diligence reviews, etc.
• Carrying out intrusive investigations of existing buildings, including the testing of complex Façade systems
• Monitoring of cladding remediation projects and other construction work
