FULL DESCRIPTION

*As a Second Chef at Goodwins Hall Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of food service and meal preparation within the home.*

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high-quality dining experience by preparing and serving nutritious, appealing meals that promote choice, dignity, and enjoyment for all residents.
  • Cook and assist in the preparation of a wide range of meals, ensuring food is fresh, well-presented, and meets the individual dietary and cultural needs of residents.
  • Liaise with residents to understand their preferences and ensure they are happy with the food and beverages provided within the home.
  • Ensure the nutritional content of all meals supports the health, wellbeing, and specific dietary requirements of each resident.
  • Support the Head Chef in maintaining all regulatory, food safety, and statutory requirements, and in following company policies and procedures at all times.

Training, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum of two years catering experience working within a kitchen environment is essential.
  • NVQ level 3 in Food Hygiene is essential.
  • Exposure to working within a care environment is highly advantageous.
