Purpose of the Role

As a Level 4 Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will take a lead role in developing plant reliability and operational performance by implementing robust maintenance strategies, troubleshooting complex issues, and leading engineering initiatives across multiple disciplines. You will ensure minimal downtime and maximise operational capability, while mentoring and guiding other engineering colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and undertake planned preventative maintenance activities across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Diagnose and resolve complex plant issues and breakdowns to maintain operational performance
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant capability and equipment reliability
  • Manage and participate in plant modifications, improvements, and capital investment projects
  • Mentor, coach, and support engineers and operational technicians across the site
  • Act as a subject matter expert on plant equipment, technologies, and systems
  • Ensure accurate maintenance records are maintained and procedures are adhered to
  • Collaborate closely with operations teams to ensure site performance and compliance

What We’re Looking For

  • Time-served multi-skilled apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
  • Level 4 technical qualification or equivalent experience
  • HNC or higher in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across multiple engineering areas
  • Proactive and dynamic approach to safety and quality
  • Technical leadership skills with experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and team-working ability
