Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
About Us
[Employer hidden] is one of the UK's fastest-growing online retailers, operating award-winning brands like Laptops Direct, Appliances Direct, and Furniture123. We keep all our stock in vast distribution centres before shipping, meaning our operations need to be sharp, scalable, and relentlessly efficient.
Here at [Employer hidden], we don't follow the normal ways of working. We think unconventionally. We are looking for ingenuity, tenacity, and people who want to get stuck into the real work from day one.
About the Role
Are you a naturally curious problem-solver looking to build a long-term career in Business Analysis or Enterprise Architecture?
We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Business Operations Analyst to join our team. This role serves as the crucial bridge between our raw operational data and the tactical, day-to-day running of the business. You will dive into our metrics, map out how our departments currently function, and help design the future of how we work. It is the perfect launchpad for someone looking to grow into a fully-fledged Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Solutions Architect.
What you’ll be doing:
- Analysing operational data across logistics, commercial, and customer service teams to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency.
- Mapping out our current ("as-is") business processes and collaborating with senior stakeholders to design smarter ("to-be") workflows.
- Assisting senior analysts and technical teams in gathering, defining, and documenting business requirements for new software or system rollouts.
- Acting as a translator between our technical/data teams and our operational staff, ensuring everyone understands the commercial impact of our processes.
What we’re looking for:
- A highly analytical and logical mindset with a genuine passion for taking things apart to see how they work.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis (exposure to SQL or BI tools like Power Bi is a huge bonus).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; you must be comfortable explaining complex data or processes in plain, jargon-free English.
- A proactive, tenacious attitude. You don't just report on problems; you want to be part of the solution.
- Someone ambitious who wants a role that offers a clear, supported progression path into wider Business Analysis or Architecture.
Benefits:
- Up to £35,000 basic salary (dependent on experience)
- Healthcare cash plan
- Your birthday off after a year of service
- Generous staff discount scheme across all our brands
- Free onsite parking
