Nursery Practitioner

North London, N7 9EY

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week – the nursery is open from 8am to 6pm, 48 weeks of the year and staff work within a shift system. This is a permanent position.

Salary:

Starting from £25, 500 per year dependant on qualifications and experience and will be discussed at interview stage.

Person specification:

As our ideal nursery assistant or practitioner, you will be flexible and creative with strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. You will have a sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and be passionate about child development. It is essential for this role to hold Level 2 or 3 in Childcare qualification e.g. NNEB, CACHE, NVQ in Childcare.    *Please note, Health and Social Care qualifications are not on the Government’s approved list of childcare qualifications.*

Key responsibilities:

Assistants will support the team and head of room. Practitioners have key person responsibilities to a specific group of children and be responsible for liaising with parents on all aspects of their child’s care and development. This position involves monitoring children’s development, progression and planning their next steps.
