About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, culturally plugged-in Junior TikTok Channel Manager to join the Social Video team, working exclusively across @[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] on TikTok.
This role will directly support the [Employer hidden] TikTok Channel Manager in developing and executing original, repeatable, IP-led formats designed specifically for TikTok. It’s an idea-first, platform-native position focused on format building, cultural reactiveness and confident on-camera presence.
Working within a fast-paced social video team, you’ll help shape how [Employer hidden] shows up on TikTok, contributing to ideation, scripting and production support, while building a strong understanding of audience growth, retention and platform behaviour.
This is an ideal role for someone who understands TikTok culture instinctively, thrives in a reactive environment, and wants to grow into a senior channel manager role.
What the opportunity looks like:
- Supporting the TikTok Channel Manager in the day-to-day running of the [Employer hidden] TikTok account.
- Contributing to the ideation and development of original, repeatable, IP-led formats.
- Assisting with scripting, planning and production of TikTok-native content.
- Confidently appearing in camera-facing content when required.
- Translating trending conversations, internet culture and news moments into engaging TikTok videos.
- Working with our in-house editing team to execute high-performing content.
- Reacting quickly to trends, sounds and platform shifts.
- Supporting content scheduling and ensuring output aligns with TikTok best practice.
- Monitoring performance metrics and applying insights to refine creative direction.
- Collaborating with Editorial and Video teams to ensure TikTok content reflects [Employer hidden]’s tone and audience expectations.
Skills and experience we’d like you to have:
- A strong understanding of TikTok as a platform, including trends, hooks, retention mechanics and algorithm behaviour.
- An instinctive grasp of what resonates with [Employer hidden]’s core 16–34 audience.
- Confidence being camera-facing and comfortable presenting to a social audience.
- Experience ideating TikTok content, either in a publisher environment or via a strong personal/creator portfolio.
- A clear understanding of how to build repeatable formats, not just chase trends.
- Strong cultural awareness and the ability to spot conversations early.
- Ability to work quickly and creatively in a reactive news and entertainment environment.
- Strong storytelling instincts and understanding of short-form pacing.
- A solid understanding of media law and publishing best practice.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a production team.
- Filming and editing experience (CapCut, Premiere Pro, TikTok-native tools) is a bonus but not essential.
