About the Role
We are looking for a Development Producer to join our Originals team!
The Originals team creates quality, long-form content for YouTube, broadcast and podcast platforms, designed to be shareable across [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Group’s social channels. We’re the team behind popular shows like Snack Wars, Minutes With, Honesty Box and Agree To Disagree.
We’re looking for someone with fresh formats, proven credits, and a fantastic knowledge of what content works for YouTube and socials. You’ll be working across three genres - entertainment, sport and factual - so experience in these areas is key.
You’ll be turning your creative ideas into new shows, so we’re looking for a multi-functional producer who can work with the wider team to manage the production of pilot series.
What the opportunity looks like
- Creating original, returnable format ideas for our YouTube channels - [Employer hidden] Entertainment, [Employer hidden] Stories and SPORTbible.
- Pitching new ideas to the Development Lead and channel teams.
- Managing the production process of pilot series from start to finish.
- Co-producing shoots and edits, working alongside a dedicated Creative Producer.
- Developing topline ideas from the team into fleshed-out formats.
- Planning office run-throughs and gameplay demos to test your ideas.
- Building attention-grabbing decks and presenting to key stakeholders.
- Working with our LAD360 commercial team to integrate partners into original content and co-developing new AFP ideas with brands.
- Utilising research and data alongside the Channel Manager to analyse performance of formats, identify gaps in our slate, and the viability of new ideas.
- You can demonstrate superb planning skills, managing several projects at one time.
- An interest or experience in how AI may be used in idea development is a bonus.
- Developing and scaling existing formats, creating new content ecosystems.
- Liaising with Marketing to ensure new launches are fully supported.
- Identifying and nurturing on-screen talent for new formats, alongside Talent Managers.
- Independently developing a slate of larger-scale ‘blue sky’ productions.
Skills and experience we'd like you to have
- You have substantial experience as a producer and a track record of developing ideas from concept to delivery or that have been commissioned by others.
- You’ll have a thorough knowledge of and passion for YouTube and social media.
- You know how to generate repeatable formats with clear beats, story and pacing.
- You can translate your ideas into persuasive decks and compelling pitches.
- You have varied interests and experience to work across three distinct genres.
- You’ll be comfortable developing a range of formats - from gameshows to podcasts, sport debate shows to hard-hitting documentaries.
- You have a good eye for design - from a pitch deck to a studio set, you know what pops.
- You’ll know how graphics, music and sound design can set the tone for a format.
- You’re enterprising and able to work independently developing new ideas.
- You’re locked in to what young audiences are interested in and spot emerging trends.
