We are seeking a Private Client Solicitor (Newly Qualified to 4 years’ PQE) to join our established and growing Private Client team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of private client matters, high-quality work, and the opportunity to develop long-term client relationships under the guidance of experienced practitioners. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload with appropriate supervision and contribute to the continued development of the department.

Job Summary: We are seeking a Private Client Solicitor (Newly Qualified to 4 years’ PQE) to join our established and growing Private Client team. This role offers exposure to a broad range of private client matters, high-quality work, and the opportunity to develop long-term client relationships under the guidance of experienced practitioners.The successful candidate will manage their own caseload with appropriate supervision and contribute to the continued development of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on a wide range of private client matters, including:
- Wills and estate planning
- Probate and estate administration
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Trusts (creation, administration, and variation)
- Inheritance Tax planning
- Managing files from inception through to completion
- Drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Providing clear, practical, and sensitive advice to clients
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Attending client meetings (in person and remotely)
- Supporting senior colleagues on more complex matters as required
- Contributing to business development and networking activities
Qualification:
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or due to qualify shortly)
- NQ–3 years’ post-qualification experience in private client work
- Strong technical grounding in core private client matters
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong drafting ability
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines
- A proactive, team-focused approach
Desirable:
- Experience with high-net-worth individuals
- STEP qualification or working towards STEP (or willingness to do so)
- Previous exposure to trust and tax planning matters
