About the Role
We are now seeking a Young Adults Services Manager to lead and grow our Supported Living and Community Care services for young people aged 18–30 across Watford and the wider Hertfordshire area.
You will play a pivotal role in helping young adults transition into independent living through structured support, team leadership, and service development.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and proactive care professional looking to step into a rewarding leadership role with scope to shape a growing service.
Duties
- Manage care packages for young adults aged 18–30 through local authority and private contracts
- Develop and oversee weekly rotas for mentors and clients
- Lead care planning, support plans, and risk assessments
- Liaise with local authorities, commissioners, and social workers
- Oversee recruitment, induction, and training of mentors
- Conduct assessments, supervisions, reviews, and spot checks
- Maintain records using systems like Birdie and SharePoint
- Participate in on-call rota and support emergency visits
- Collaborate closely with the Children’s Services Manager and Senior Leadership Team to grow the service

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in Supported Living, Domiciliary Care or Young People’s Services
- A natural leader with excellent organisational and communication skills
- Qualified with Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
- IT-literate (Microsoft Office, SharePoint; Birdie a plus)
- Familiar with care frameworks and safeguarding standards
- Flexible and committed — able to participate in the on-call rota
- A driver with access to your own vehicle (essential)
