Are you a caring, dependable person looking to make a real difference in someone’s life? Are you open to living in a client’s home while providing high-quality, personalised care?

If so, this Live-In Carer role in Southend-on-Sea could be your next meaningful move.

At [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Services, we’ve been supporting older people, adults with disabilities, and individuals with long-term care needs for over 20 years. We’re now welcoming experienced and new carers to join our team as Live-In Carers — offering one-on-one support to help people remain independent in the place they call home.

About the Role

As a Live-In Carer, you’ll stay in the client’s home for an agreed rotation period (e.g., 1–2 weeks on, followed by time off), supporting them with their day-to-day needs. Your care will be person-centred, focused on dignity, comfort, and independence.

This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys building long-term connections with the people they care for.

Duties

  • Assisting with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming)
  • Supporting with meal preparation and medication administration
  • Help with mobility, routines, and daily activities
  • Light housework to maintain a safe, comfortable home
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Work closely with family and healthcare professionals to adapt the care plan

What We Offer

  • £90–£120 per day, depending on experience and care complexity
  • Private room and accommodation during placements
  • Flexible work schedules with regular breaks and rota patterns
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Support from our experienced, friendly care management team
  • The opportunity to build lasting, meaningful relationships with clients

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Caring, compassionate, and reliable
  • Experienced in domiciliary or home care
  • Able to communicate effectively in English
  • Able to live on-site with a client during the rota period
  • Great communicator, calm and patient
  • Willing to undertake training and work toward relevant care qualifications
