Data Analyst

This is an urgent requirement for a Data Analyst with experience working within a solution delivery environment. Our client is well-established organisation leading the market in its field and is currently embarking on an exciting Agile Transformation programme. The Analysis team is working on a large, complex data warehouse development with the analysis framework and standards being defined and shaped.

Data Analyst Role and Duties:
– Design and maintain data schemas and data dictionaries
– Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
– Own and drive data analysis to support requirements elicitation and solution design using SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, ETL and Agile methodologies
– Orchestrate positive collaboration between business stakeholders, SME’s, architects and developers, removing blockers along the way
– Maintain and develop best practice related to processes, tools and ways of working to improve efficiencies

Data Analyst Skills and Experience:
– Substantial experience in a Data Analyst role working specifically on the implementation of a data warehouse
– Knowledge and experience of data analysis and modelling using a variety of tools and techniques, including dimensional modelling
– In-depth experience of Excel, SQL and the Microsoft BI stack: SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
– Knowledge of ETL and Master Data Management would be very beneficial
– Excellent communication skills and experience of stakeholder management and conflict resolution

Experience of using modern software delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello etc would be ideal but is not essential. This is a role wherein you will work across Project, Product and Delivery teams so the ability to embrace transformational challenge would be ideal. Any experience of Cloud-based solutions would be very helpful.
