FULL DESCRIPTION

AWS Cloud Engineer – AWS, IaC, Terraform, Serverless Architecture, Cloud Native, Git, API’s, Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible – Hybrid (Manchester) – £75-85k + bonus + bens

AWS Cloud Engineer Role and Responsibilities:

  • – Design, build, and operate my client’s AWS infrastructure, adhering to the AWS Well-Architected Framework as appropriate
  • – Maintain IaC codebase and ensure platform services are safe, performant and operable
  • – Support development teams through mentoring in IaC and best use of AWS services
  • – Interact closely with architects, development, and service teams to deliver together
  • – Operate in an Agile environment, balancing delivery with the need for solid foundations

AWS Cloud Engineer Skills and Experience:

  • – In-depth AWS expertise (and ideally some Azure), operating at organisation rather than service level
  • – Experience building, deploying, and operating core services in a multi-account AWS architecture with knowledge across accounts and networks, backup, logging, security services, and application and data services.
  • – In-depth experience with Terraform and Git
  • – Experience with cloud native, API driven, serverless architectures
  • – Strong, hands-on knowledge of working on Containerised environments (Kubernetes/Docker).
  • – Good working knowledge of Configuration Management tools like Ansible

You will provide strategic technical input and full implementation expertise across the full Organisational level (rather than just the Service level) of the organisation. The ability to manage your own time and prioritise incidents and issues will also be required.
