FULL DESCRIPTION

Parts Business Development Executive - Skelmersdale

We are recruiting for a Parts Business Development Executive to drive growth in non-franchised parts revenues and expand our customer base within parts sales.

### Package Details:

  • Competitive Salary
  • Based onsite in Skelmersdale with travel to customer sites
  • 42.5 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
  • 23 days’ holiday each year, plus bank holidays
  • Permanent

### Key Purpose of the Job

  • To efficiently support the function of Business Development and grow non-franchised parts revenues and customer base within the relevant geographical locations
  • To ensure that all parts orders received are accurately and promptly picked and dispatched

### Accountabilities

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities relating to non-OEM/spurious parts in local areas
  • Developing and maintaining strong and lasting relationships with new, existing and lapsed clients
  • Prospecting, selling and onboarding new clients
  • Converting inbound leads and enquiries into loyal customers by offering tailored solutions and addressing their needs promptly
  • Ensuring parts orders are updated on the relevant systems when picked/dispatched and keeping customers informed
  • Receiving and interpreting all parts orders and providing advice when required on products or price
  • Matching orders against stock items and advising customers of any items which are not stocked or need ordering
  • Stock control and managing optimal inventory levels to mitigate overstocking or obsolescence
  • Conducting regular stock audits to identify and rectify discrepancies
  • Overseeing housekeeping of goods in suspense, non-stocks, stock adjustment accounts and work in progress
  • Managing and maintaining positive customer relationships to ensure repeat business
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge on products and industry/market changes

### Skills and Competencies Required for the Job

  • Experience with commercial vehicle parts (ideally both truck and van)
  • Experience with a range of commercial vehicle brands
  • Experience in stock control
  • Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points)
  • Experience in B2B sales and prospecting in local areas
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer orientated and the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
  • Proactive and self-sufficient
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload and meeting order requirements
