Workshop Supervisor - Knowsley
We are recruiting for a Workshop Supervisor to join our Mercedes Benz Van dealership located in Knowsley!
In this role you’ll manage day‑to‑day workshop activities, support a team of skilled Technicians, and help maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and service.

Package Details:
- Competitive salary

- 45 hours per week
- Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:30
- 23 days’ holiday each year, plus bank holidays

Key Purpose of the Job
To assist with the control of the flow of work through the workshop to maximise its utilisation and ensure that Technicians are working efficiently
Accountabilities
- Loading the workshop to the maximum level, ensuring achievements of sold hours targets without detrimentally affecting customer satisfaction
- Ensuring issue of work to the correctly skilled Technician to ensure satisfactory repair
- Ensuring a satisfactory level of work is tested through the Quality Control system, including a mix of repairs, i.e. services, PDI’s, warranty, major repairs
- Overseeing the workshop operation on a daily basis, supporting the Technicians with technical advice
- Ensuring that there is adequate cover in the workshop at all times, and that the rotas are adhered to
- Assisting in the implementation of customer satisfaction initiatives and other systems to continually improve the level of CSI in the dealership
- Ensuring that all warranty requirements from the workshop area are adhered to at all times by the Technicians prior to handing over to Warranty Administration
- Bringing to the General Manager’s attention any issues which may affect customer satisfaction, departmental profitability, or any performance or absence issues that need addressing
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Senior Technician with a strong technical background
- NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance qualification in Light Vehicles
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience with electric vehicles (desirable)
- Experience with Mercedes-Benz vehicles and systems (desirable)
- Attention to detail and committed to ensuring work carried out is to the highest standard
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage in a busy workshop environment
- Strong communication skills with both internal colleagues and external customers
- Customer orientated and enthusiasm to deliver the highest level of customer service
- Flexible and adaptable to changes in priorities
