The role involves interpreting customer designs, creating kitchen layouts, managing customer inquiries, and working with the project management team. The role is full-time and requires a creative qualification, design experience, and strong organizational skills.

We are looking for someone with a real passion for design to join our ever-growing, dynamic team of kitchen designers.
deVOL has become synonymous with distinctive style and understated quality; something our designers are taught and become highly skilled in perfecting for every customer.
Your job will involve:
- Offering great customer service in the showroom as well as answering and directing telephone enquiries.
- Interpreting customers' room drawings and requirements to create kitchen layouts using Drafsight and quotes using MS Office.
- Leading design meetings in our showroom or via Zoom, working under pressure to ensure customers leave with plans.
- Managing your own base of customers from initial inquiry through to an order being placed.
- Working with our project management team to take a kitchen from design drawings to manufacture and installation.
- Working with all the deVOL designers to keep the quality of design, service, and product impeccable for every customer.
This is a full-time role that begins with a 1-3 month training period based at our Cotes Mill showroom in Leicestershire, set within 12 acres of meadows and riverbanks just outside Loughborough. Nearby accommodation can be provided if needed.
After the initial training period, the role will transition to our Tysoe Street showroom. This role is office-based and requires a daily presence in our showroom. You will be required to work 1-2 Saturdays a month with a day taken in lieu.
Requirements
We would love you to:
- Have a creative qualification and passion for furniture or interiors.
- 1-2 years of previous design experience.
- Be excellent at organising and prioritising your time.
- Have minimum GCSE grades (or equivalent) of A-C in English and Maths.
- Have experience working in a customer-facing role.
- Enjoy working with others as part of a team.
- Prior experience of using CAD software.
- Have a great eye for detail, a flair for design, and a desire to create exceptional work.
