Job Summary

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic football coaches to deliver engaging, high-quality football sessions across our programmes in Sussex and Surrey. You will deliver after-school football clubs as well as pathway and team coaching sessions. You will play a key role in creating fun, inclusive and development-focused environments that inspire young players and support their football journey.

    As Football Coach you will:

    • Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate football sessions, including structured after-school clubs, focusing on fundamental skills, movement and game understanding;
    • Deliver fun, engaging and inclusive sessions that promote player development, confidence and enjoyment of football;
    • Manage and coach teams during matches, festivals and tournaments where required, ensuring equal playing time and positive participation for all players;
    • Create a safe, positive and motivating learning environment for players of varying abilities;
    • Communicate effectively with players, parents, school staff and fellow coaches;
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times;
    • Maintain accurate registers, attendance records and basic player development feedback where required.

    Person Specification

    As successful candidate you will:

    • Have experience coaching football, ideally within schools, grassroots or player development environments;
    • Be an FA/UEFA qualified coach at minimum Level 1, ideally Level 2 or above;
    • Hold in-date FA First Aid and Safeguarding Children qualifications;
    • Be confident delivering after-school football clubs in a school setting;
    • Be reliable, organised, enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop as a coach;
    • Be available for afternoon, evening and/or holiday work as required.
