We’re looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our Water Management Services Department as part of our dynamic survey team. You’ll play a vital role in conducting drainage asset inventory, condition, and mapping surveys across the UK’s highways sector. About the Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join our Water Management Services Department as part of our dynamic survey team. You’ll play a vital role in conducting drainage asset inventory, condition, and mapping surveys across the UK’s highways sector. Using our bespoke software and GPS handheld equipment, you’ll capture and map drainage asset data to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

What You’ll Do

As an Apprentice GPS Operative, you’ll:

  • Undergo comprehensive training to master your role and our systems.
  • Use your knowledge of CD 535, CS 551, and drainage data guidelines to deliver top-notch surveys.
  • Work on a rotating schedule, including day/night shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Ensure quality control, making adjustments as necessary to meet project standards.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and performance reviews.
  • Maintain clear communication with colleagues, managers, and clients to foster strong relationships.
  • Prioritize safety, ensuring a clean and hazard-free work environment.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • A CSCS card is preferred but not essential.
  • A full driving license is preferred but not essential.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good organisational and practical skills, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Confident manner and the ability to work with others.
  • Good understanding of general safety and quality requirements.
  • Flexible and open-minded attitude to work and able to work away from home.
