[Employer hidden] are looking for fun and outgoing support workers to support a young lady in her 20s, who has a diagnosis of autism. She loves music, and arts and crafts, and has a busy routine which involves being out in the community.

Key Job Role Information

Role – Female and Male Support workers

Location- Leigh

Salary - £ 14.29 (inclusive of holiday entitlement)

Shifts – 12 Hours either 8 am – 8pm and 8pm – 8am wake nights

Key Role essentials and responsibilities –

  • Competent verbal and written English
  • Must have experience within health and social care settings

Meet the person you’ll be supporting:

Who am I? I am a young lady in my 20s.

What activities do I do? I love listening to music (particularly brass music, which I play myself), singing, and dancing. I love all things performing arts and drama!

What challenges do I have? I have learning disabilities, autism and epilepsy, which gives me challenges with my movement, and can affect my behaviour, which can sometimes be challenging towards people who support me.

What activities do I do? I visit the cinema, and love a good pub lunch. I also enjoy visiting sensory rooms, as they are nice and quiet and help me relax. Noise can overwhelm me.

What types of people do I get along with? People with good communication skills, who are outgoing and fun like me, I have a really good sense of humour. I would like staff to get on well with my family, who I spend lots of time with.

MY TEAM

How many people support me at one time? I am supported by 1 staff of a night time.

What shift patterns do my team do? 9pm - 9am Wake Nights and 9am - 9pm days

What are my team trained in? My staff will get a bespoke training course specifically to cover my needs.
