Requirements:

  • Education: GCSE level or above in numeracy and literacy.
  • Technical Skills: IT literate, with a solid understanding of [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk].
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in construction UKAS testing and familiarity with 17025 accredited laboratory demands.
  • Driving: Must have a full UK driving license.
  • Record Keeping: Accurate and consistent record-keeping skills.

Working Hours:

  • Standard: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
  • Flexibility: Longer days with travel, occasional stay aways and night shifts when necessary and optional weekend work.

Responsibilities:

  • Operations: Ensure timely and efficient of site tests.
  • Compliance: Produce test results in line with documented procedures, standards, and UKAS requirements.
  • Team Supervision: Train, motivate, and deploy staff through our buddying up program.
  • Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy working environment.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with Operations Supervisors and Managers for smooth day-to-day operations.

Daily Duties:

  • Work safely following the Company Health & Safety Policy.
  • Complete allocated work as directed by supervisors.
  • Maintain team harmony and morale.
  • Control incoming and stored test specimens.
  • Assist in record maintenance related to the Management System.
  • Train subordinate staff as required.
  • Maintain clean and tidy work areas and equipment.

Main Tasks:

  • Ensure the work environment and equipment are always clean and tidy.
  • Perform any other relevant tasks as directed by senior staff.
  • Assume responsibilities of other Senior Technicians in their absence.
  • Test materials and maintain knowledge of sampling and test procedures.
