Planning Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Planning Consultant at Associate or Partner level to take a lead role within our Planning Team. The ideal candidate will take a leadership role within the Planning team, managing residential, commercial and leisure development applications throughout the region.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking an experienced Planning Consultant at Associate or Partner level to take a lead role within our Planning Team.

Our Planning Team forms part of our wider Planning, Architecture and Development team - a 10-strong multidisciplinary team of chartered planners, surveyors and architects based in our Newcastle office.

We work across a diverse portfolio of projects, varying in scale and sector, including residential, commercial and leisure developments. Our particular focus and expertise lie in strategic planning and land promotion, alongside general planning consultancy.

The ideal candidate will take a leadership role within the Planning team, managing residential, commercial and leisure development applications throughout the region. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a dynamic team with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality advice and exceptional client service.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

  • Managing a team of planning consultants
  • Project managing and inputting into complex planning applications
  • Co-ordinating and responding to development plan consultations
  • Providing first class advice to clients, team members and the wider business
  • Business development including finding and securing new opportunities and clients
  • Creating a team who are passionate about planning, positive in outlook, and successful
  • Be organised, self-motivated, efficient and performance driven
  • Have excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Have the ability to spot and secure development opportunities
  • Have experience of development management, EIA and development plans
  • Be commercially aware and have the ability to network, generate work and build relationships
