[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is looking for a Social Media & Digital Engagement Coordinator to lead and grow our presence across social media platforms. This role is more than posting content – it is about creating meaningful engagement, strengthening connection with our church communities, and sharing the heart of [Employer hidden] online.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
- Maintain the social media calendar aligned with church campaigns and activities.
- Translate sermons, ministries, and events into engaging digital content.
- Identify growth opportunities, audience trends, and platform developments.
Content Creation & Storytelling
- Produce social-first content including reels, stories, carousels, short videos, and graphics.
- Collaborate with the Video Producer & Editor on larger campaigns.
- Ensure all content reflects [Employer hidden]’s brand and values.
Community Engagement
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages in a timely and pastoral manner.
- Foster a welcoming and safe online environment.
- Escalate sensitive or pastoral situations where appropriate.
Analytics & Insights
- Track performance across platforms and provide insights to the Communications Director.
- Use data to refine strategies and improve engagement outcomes.
Campaign & Event Support
- Capture live social content at key events, with occasional Sunday involvement if required.
- Co-ordinate social media for major church campaigns and initiatives.
National Support
- Provide guidance to [Employer hidden] locations on social media best practice.
- Support local teams in producing effective digital content and building confidence in digital engagement.
Who We’re Looking For
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to the vision of Hillsong Church.
- Regular involvement in church life and alignment with Biblical standards.
- Spiritual maturity, teamwork, and a positive, collaborative attitude.
Skills & Experience
- Relevant qualification or equivalent professional experience in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing social media platforms and creating digital-first content.
- Experience analysing metrics and adjusting strategy accordingly.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, algorithms, and digital culture.
- Skilled in content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent.
- Excellent written communication, planning, and organisational skills.
